Join us for our first A Day in the LOOP reception as we celebrate the inaugural year of this community-wide creative project on Sunday, February 8, from 3–5pm at Westside Bowl. We'll introduce participants and show slides of the selected entries. This year's curators will also say a few words. Bonus treat: we may get to hear some of the writers read their own pieces live!
About A Day in the LOOP
On Friday, October 17, 2025, LOOP Youngstown invited residents of the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys to participate in a collaborative creative project. On this single day, participants captured the spirit of our region—its people, places, and everyday stories—through photography, video, writing, or other art forms.
The response truly knocked our socks off! Thank you to everyone who participated. And thank you to our curators, Autumn Joi Ellis, Tony Nicholas, Thomas Welsh, and Stephen Poullas, for their thoughtful and dedicated work on this project. After blind-judging the submissions, they have chosen 55 works for the permanent online gallery.
