Workshop: Hands of Light and Dark [Aug. 9&10]

Hands of Light and Dark is a two-day drawing workshop with local artist Ed Hallahan. The meditative drawing experience, and a metaphor for creation, will use the form of your hand (and/or other hands), chiaroscuro drawing technique, the symbolism of light and dark (as in Yin Yang philosophy), and a circular format. Basic materials include white charcoal on black paper. Participants attend both days of the workshop.

$50 (materials are included in the workshop cost)

Space is very limited!
Workshop leader Ed Hallahan is a musician, visual artist, sculptor, and retired educator. His work includes music and art performances, graphite drawing, and wood sculpture. Ed has spent many years as an educator at the Butler Institute of American Art, as well as a visiting art educator for regional schools and programs.
